The mountain cove known as Cades Cove is a place of magical beauty, being one of the most popular places in the park whether for an early morning bike ride, a car cruise around the loop, or a hike on one of the many trails in the area. Among the many types of wildlife which may be seen here are turkey, deer, and black bear although they can be very elusive at times. The cove is undoubtedly one of the most beautiful places on God's green earth.
The fields of Cades Cove offer a glimpse back in time to how the area may have appeared one hundred or even two hundred years ago. Nestled between the main chain of the appalachian mountains to the south and Rich mountain to the north, the cove feels isolated and protected from the modern world.
